NEW GROUP: VIRTUAL MEAL SUPPORT GROUP

NEW MEAL SUPPORT GROUP

It can be very difficult to complete your meal plan by yourself in recovery. Join one of our clinicians as we help you navigate your recovery journey, help you follow a meal plan outside of treatment, gain coping skills, and find a safe place to complete challenging meals.

This will be your safe space to process, ask the questions, and receive a specific kind of support through this process.

The support group is offered at 12:00 p.m. CST every Tuesday. The cost is $40 per session, and there are packages available. The group will have a maximum of 10 people to ensure there is ample time for everyone to participate.

Pre-registration is required and the group is open to those in and out-of-state. Feel free to register for one session or come to all sessions offered. We would love to see you there!

Parent & Loved One Virtual Support Group happening the second Thursday of every month at 7pm CST. This support group is for parents or family to join. It can be difficult supporting someone with an eating disorder. In these 50 minute virtual calls one of our clinicians will help you navigate your loved one’s meal plan, referring process, addressing behaviors in real time, and more. Happy New Year! I hope 2021 kicked off to a good start.

It is common practice at the beginning of each year to sit and think of all the changes you want to make to your life, your body, your friendships, your job, create new hobbies, improve old skills, etcetera. It is also common that these New Years resolutions fail before January even ends. This is why you need to read the She Knows article about weight loss resolutions for the new year tagged below. I have had the privilege to be quoted in another one of the talented, Iris Goldsztajn’s work. The article talks about why most all weight loss oriented resolutions end in failure because of the inherit failure of these fad diets. It goes in deeper to explain how dieting leads to weight cycling and how the dieting industry can lure you and trap you in your dieting mindset. But do not be discouraged!
