Briefly, Alex Leibold received a bachelors from Louisiana State University, and completed a masters in Health and Human Performance at McNeese State University in Louisiana. Interestingly, she has attended culinary school in New York City where she fostered her passion for cooking and experiencing delicious food. Alex specifically researched how Orthorexia correlates with increased social media use in young adults. Alex has experience with clients of all ages and a variety of diagnoses including anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge eating disorder (BED), other specified eating/feeding disorder (OSFED), and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Furthermore, she is experienced in teaching group therapy focusing on topics including: Intuitive eating, mindful eating, recent topics in nutrition, nutrition science, cooking group, and kitchen skills groups. Alex is knowledgable and works with clients through restaurant and grocery store exposures. Alex’s food philosophy is that all foods fit and food is meant to be more than just nourishment. Alex believes food is a social/cultural experience and is meant to be fun and shared with others. Alex focuses on teaching clients how to nourish themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.
