Grocery Shopping Tips I share with All My Clients
Number one grocery shopping tip I tell all my clients is make a plan and a list. I know this is tired advice, but it works. I also suggest finding a list that divides the items by section in the grocery store or writing it out yourself. You can see in the video as I make the list produce is in one column, dairy, bakery items, shelf stable, and so forth. This minimizes how many times I have to go back to sections I have passed because I forgot something. Be sure to plan for 1-3 spontaneous items that you see and think look good.
If grocery shopping is overwhelming making a list will decrease the time and effort at the store.
A couple other tips that can decrease grocery shopping overwhelm...
1. Go at off hours. If you can go during the week vs the weekend, during a big sporting event, during church time, early or late, there will be less people. Do not go on Sunday 11am-3pm.
2. Try a smaller grocery store. Sometimes less options can actually be better.
3. Try curbside pick up. The grocery shopping environment is very stimulating. There are a lot of people, noises, movement, and things going on. If the environment is an issue get rid of it.
