QUICK & EASY WEEK NIGHT DINNER - Homemade Turkey Meatballs
Don't let this recipe intimidate you. Homemade meatballs used to intimidate me, but in an effort to avoid chicken burn out I decided to give it a go. I am so glad that I did. I have made this meatball recipe several times during the week. It is easy and quick, I promise.
QUICK & EASY Homemade Turkey Meatballs
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED: ground turkey, Italian bread crumbs, shredded parmesan cheese, egg, corn starch, fresh garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt + pepper
WHY THIS WORKS DURING THE WEEK: Make one batch and have meatballs for multiple nights. You could also double or triple the recipe and stick a batch in the freezer to use in the future. There are endless options.
QUICK & EASY WEEKNIGHT DINNER - Homemade Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 egg
2-3 cloves fresh garlic minced
1 tbs corn starch
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbs olive oil
Salt + pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat over to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl combine all ingredients (except olive oil). Kneed mixture with hands until all ingredients are combined.
Portion about 1/4 cup of meatball mixture and roll between two hands creating a small sphere. Continue until all mixture is gone.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs to skillet and cook until browned on all sides, occasionally turning each meatball (not cooking all the way through).
Once each meatball is browned on each side, evenly place meatballs on a baking sheet.
Place the baking sheet with meatballs in the oven. Cook for 15 minutes.
Pair my homemade turkey meatballs with my homemade pesto. A delicious combination! Enjoy!
